What To Expect
When you become a member of GFA, you will have to go through a short orientation to explore
our core values and get the opportunity to examine your role as members of the association.
You will be introduced to our benefit programs available for members.
All new members have a six (6) months probationary period. A new member must prove that
they will be consistent in paying their $20 monthly dues, funeral contributions when another
member is claiming their qualified benefits ($100 6 times for New Members and $50 thereafter
for benefits as and when contribution needs to be paid). A new member must understand that
regularly attending meetings and functions, in addition to paying your dues and contributions
(when declared) is a requirement to keep their membership.
A new member must pay a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $50 plus the first
month’s dues to activate their membership. *Please note that any money paid to the association
will note be refunded to a member under any circumstances*.
A member who has attained full membership qualifies for two (2) benefits at $3,000 each time.
A full member in good standing can also access a soft loan of up to $2,000 if qualified.
GFA is involved in a number of projects and programs that allow our members to assist our
communities and the less privileged.
